To Undiscovered Lands
Borders are all around us, intersecting almost every part of our daily life. Most of the time, however, these borders go unnoticed.
To Undiscovered Lands is a group project aiming to gather people from different backgrounds to reflect, understand and create new ways of considering the intangible lines which divide us.

PROGRAM
With the help of local and international artists we will take you on a journey ‘To Undiscovered Lands’ in multiple forms. Our outside exhibition will be complimented by multiple events: a screening night at KASK Cinema, a dinner with Sofia Tsyhanok, a performance by Gemma Hansson Carbone, an special expo by Beljita Gurung and Charlotte Rood, and performances during the opening and the finnisage. Besides this, we will exhibit a publication of a special journal combining theory contributions.
The opening will take place the 4th of May, 2023. The end of the exhibition will be on the 1st of June, 2023. Different events will take place in the course of the month of May. You can come to our embassy (glass building) during each event to retrieve your passport (booklet of exhibition).

Come by To Undiscovered Lands’ Embassy to share a meal prepared by our invited artist Sofia Tsyhanok and the current residents of Het Paviljoen. The artist will create a korovai, which is a typical ancient bread used for weddings that comes from the pagan belief in the magical properties of grain. It’s decorated with symbolic flags and figurines, such as suns, moons, birds, animals and pine cones. We welcome you to a fully vegan meal to enjoy in our company!

Het Paviljoen current residents are inviting seven film and video artists to present ‘Shifting Dichotomies’ – a series of short films and a documentary from national and international artists addressing representations of gender, race and community connected to the notion of borders.
